Think of LitCon 2016 in terms of a school field trip. A school employee (teacher, librarian, administrator) must act as the

You may choose to bring students in your classes, creative writing classes, contemporary literature classes, Power of the Pen students, school book club groups or any individuals/group you feel would benefit from attending this event.

Do students register themselves?

No. An adult chaperone will complete the online registration form and register all students attending with that chaperone.

How does choosing my top three workshops, work?

Attendees should read and familiarize themselves with the workshop options prior to completing the online registration. During the online registration process, each person registered will indicate their top three choices of workshops.

Workshops have limited capacities. Workshops will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Every effort will be made to accommodate attendees into one of their top three workshop choices.

Will lunch be provided?

Meals will not be provided. You may bring a packed lunch.

There is no lunch break in the schedule. When do we eat lunch?

You may choose to eat your packed lunch 1:20 - 1:45 in the Perry High School cafeteria. Bake sale items

and bottled water will be available for purchase.

Can I really wear a costume and dress as a fictional book character?

Yes! Get in the 'con' spirit and dress as your favorite literary character! Be creative! No weapons or replicas of weapons of any type may be worn or brought to LitCon 2016.
